Summary: Villa Rita is in a great location, spotlessly clean, well equipped, although could do with more pans and some wine glasses in the room. We booked a sea view room and although the apartments were practically empty we were given the room with the least view of the sea. The apartments are only a 5 minute walk to the lovely beach with clear blue sea, some restaurants and a few shops in Tavronitis but we got the bus every night to Platanias, Agia Marina or Chania, the bus service is brilliant and very reasonable, return for 3 adults was between 13-18 euros and the buses and very regular and reliable. There’s allot of choice of restaurants in all the above resorts we ate at beachfront restaurants which were surprisingly very well priced and all meals were delicious.We did a trip to Balos and Falassarna through get your guide which was a nice full day out. The owner is very helpful and informative. We booked and paid for late Check out. There is building work going on next door, 4 or 5 houses being built so there is diggers and trucks arriving throughout the day, it seemed quiet on Saturday & Sunday do they must only work Monday to Friday. This is no fault of the owner but it would have been nice to be informed of that. We put music on to try and soften the noise as there was only us around the pool most days, but the noise was very loud at times especially when hardcore was being delivered. We would visit again but I would email first to ensure building work was complete.
